Already? Where did the time go? Didn't we just move to Arizona...didn't he just start reading? Didn't we just help him learn to walk? Ugh...the time is flying by so quickly. However, with that we are getting previews of fun times ahead.
We met his teacher last week and we are very impressed. Ms. Noto. She has a focus on accountability, taking responsibility for your actions..both good and bad. I can tell you that with the youth we are seeing in the workplace these days..that doesn't seem to be getting taught anywhere in school or at home. Also..he is now on the "2nd floor" of the school..or where the "big kids' go...meaning the 5th-8th grades are up there. Buying school clothes was a different experience this year too. We went from, "I dont' want to go shopping, buy me whatever..to only buy what I choose". He is taking more care in what he looks like and how he wants others to see him.
Kyle attending summer camp at the YMCA this past summer break. In addition to a Diamondbacks game, a tour of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory, the Build a Bear workshop, they got to go rollerskating and swimming.
He had a very persistent young lady chasing him at summer camp and he is definately more aware when the girls are around..and makes it very clear to Gary and I when we are out and about not to "embarrass him"....and so it starts. We actually had to go buy deodorant this summer for him too....aww...puberty...can't wait to experience this fun new stage. By the way..if he reads this..you know he is not going to be happy! 'Mom, why are you embarrassing me!" Can't you hear it now!
