Some of the signs that a monsoon is approaching is the big dark cloud that looks very menacing. Also, the temperature goes from very hot and dry to muggy, cooler and heavy air. Here are some pics of a huge dark cloud coming in, it brought some wind but we didnt' get any rain. Lots of awesome lightening though. The lightening is like nothing we had ever seen before, thousands of lightening strikes in the sky, quick and spread out..its quite the light show.
It's quite the microclimate down here during the summer. The monsoon season starts in June and goes through August. It's the only time of the year we actually go through short bouts of no sunshine.
